JP Plumbing and Heating is the data controller for the personal information described in this policy.

Enquiry details. When you use the contact form on this site, we collect your name, phone number, and, if you give it, your email address, along with the type of work you are asking about and whatever you tell us in your message.
Communications. Records of calls, texts, WhatsApp messages or emails if you contact us directly, and of any messages we send you about a job.
Job records. If you go ahead with work, basic job and invoicing details as part of carrying that out. We do not take payment through this website; any payment for completed work is arranged directly with us.
Website usage data. Standard technical data (such as your browser type and the pages you visit) collected automatically through cookies, but only once you have accepted them. See Section 7.

Automatically, through cookies when you browse this site and have accepted them (see Section 7).

4. How we use your information

We use your information to:

Respond to your enquiry and give you a quote.
Carry out and manage plumbing and heating work you ask us to do.
Invoice you for completed work.
Keep the business, tax and safety records we are required to (for example, gas work is lodged with the Gas Safe Register under registration number 567701).
Understand how visitors use this site, but only once you have accepted cookies.

5. Sharing your information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share it with:

The Gas Safe Register, where required for gas work carried out under our registration.
HMRC or other regulators, where we are legally required to.
Professional advisers, such as an accountant or insurer, where necessary.
Law enforcement, where we are legally required to.

6. How long we keep your information

We keep enquiry and job records only as long as necessary. Job and invoicing records are kept for as long as HMRC requires for tax purposes, currently at least 6 years. If your enquiry does not turn into a job, we keep your details only as long as reasonably needed to follow it up.

7. Cookies

This site sets no cookies until you tell us it is fine to. A banner asks the first time you visit; declining, or closing it without answering, means nothing loads and you are simply asked again next time.

Once you accept, two things become able to run:

Analytics (Google Analytics), to help us understand how the site is used.
The map on our contact details, which is a Google Maps embed and, like any embed from Google, only loads once you have agreed to it.
